Steady and agile sensational goalkeeper, Alagie Mballow, who won Fortune Football Club’s November Player of The Month, said the award will motivate him to work extra harder as he rolls towards unlocking new levels in his game.
The 18-year-old had an impressive November between the goal posts for the Petroleum Boys, making stunning saves and keeping the team in the game.
Speaking to the club media, Mballow noted that his award will motivate him to fight for more awards . He acknowledged the collective work of the goalkeeping department in the team, which has helped him improve on his game.
“I am speechless,” he said after receiving his beautiful player of the month award.
“This is a great achievement for me. I am delighted to have won this prestigious individual club award as the player of the month. This is as a result of the collective work of the goalkeeper department and the whole team during games. To me, this is a motivation for me and I will continue working harder to win more awards. I promise that I will add more,” he remarked.
Alagie is currently one of the finest goalkeepers playing in the league. His composure, ability to sense danger and play with his feet, are qualities that make him one of the best young goalkeepers in the league. He joined the team last season from Samger.
Though he had a slow start in the league last season, Mballow gradually fought his way up and has established himself as one of the most reliable players in the team.
