Speaking after the game, the head coach of the team, Baboucarr AH. Ndong Rolf Fortunefc.gm that he prepared the team well ahead of the encounter.

“ We’ve prepared well for the game. We knew Raptim had some experience playing in the league compared to us. We gave them that respect and were well-prepared for our tactics to approach them.

“ They had a better start in the game than us, but after discovering that we could hurt them by playing attacking football, we took control of the game but could not break the deadlock in the first half. After some tactical interventions from us, we eventually got the goals in the second half,” coach Ndong explained.

Competing in the second-highest female football competition in the country, Ndong said that the team’s priority is to have a better first round of games and will eventually see what’s possible in the second round.

The Fortune Football Club female team had remarkable success last season, winning the West Coast Regional League and the GFF-organized U17 competition.

Backed and financed by Assan S. Ndure, the team is built on changing the dynamics of female football in the country.
