With optimism for a better future, Fortune Football Club is delighted to announce that our new club website, which will open a new gate of communication, publicity and easy access to the team, has been launched.

The new website is set up to feature the latest information and developments about the team and interesting feature stories.

Since we have decided to be an established team with a vision of changing the narrative of football development, management and marketing in the Gambia, we have been working tirelessly to standardise football and everything related to Fortune.

With little over a decade since our inception as a nawettan team in Farato, we have, through visionary management, grown into one of the best football clubs in the Gambia, both on and off the pitch. This is a result of the team’s desire to change the narrative.

As a football club (male and female team), our aspiration is not only to win trophies but to help shape the future and careers of young footballers in the country who see football as a craft to make a living.

As a team that produces players for all ranks of the national team of the Gambia and exposes players to foreign leagues, this is glaringly evident in our culture as a football club.

Of recent, our efforts in women’s football came to the surface when our female team clinched the West Coast Regional Football Association Third Division League title, an indication of our commitment and desire to the development of women’s football in the Gambia as well.

Since we started participating in the Gambia Football Federation organized competition in 2018 up to date, our male team have produced players for the Gambia male national U17, U20, U20, CAN and the senior national team.

The Management of the team has a lofty agenda for the team and will continue to provide everything needed to make this club the best among the rest.

• The team was officially established on the 7th December 2012
• We have won nine trophies in ten years, including the West Coast Region Football Association Third Division League (2016) and the Gambia Football Federation Division One League in 2021
• Our parent company is Fortune Petroleum Company Limited
• We are known as Petroleum Boys as our nickname
• We have a female team too, who just scooped the WCRFA League.
